The 8 Christmas Songs You’ll Need In Your Ultimate Christmas Playlist
Whether you’re getting ready to spend your Christmas with the family or you’re planning a party with friends to exchange presents and get a little drunk this December, you will need music to make your house feel more festive. No matter how many decorations you put on, how many presents under the tree you got or how ridiculous your Christmas sweater looks, the truth is that, as long as Mariah Carey doesn’t sound loud through your speakers, Santa Claus ain’t coming to town.
That being said, I couldn’t help myself but create a playlist for all the Christmas lunches, dinners and parties ahead. So these are the songs that I think will make your playlist more festive. Enjoy!
Jingle Bell Rock
Mean Girls thought us that not only this is a classic Christmas song you can sing along to, but that a little dance is in order when this song plays. So why not put it as as first to get you in the mood for preparation of setting the table when you’re getting ready for a festive evening?
Another classic you should blast your speakers to. I am pretty sure I’ve seen before a video of Marilyn Monroe singing and dancing to this song and this is exactly the 1950s’ vibe that you need to spice up your playlist.
Baby It’s Cold Outside
Whether you’re a Glee lover like me, or you need a Michael Bublé and Idina Menzel’s duet to get you in the spirit for Christmas, this will be your go to. I honestly never get tired of singing this song with someone I love, while getting ready for the night.
If you don’t know every single word to this song, you’re probably lying. Last Christmas is probably one of the most overplayed songs in the history of festivity and, to be frank, I am not complaining. If you need a pop ballad to get you in the mood for a late night in with your loved ones, this is what you need.
If you miss listening to Despacito night and day, this is the Christmas song you need in your playlist. No, I’m not kidding, I honestly think that if Despacito was a Christmas song, it would be this one, so go have a listen and maybe we can make it go viral together.
Happy XMas (War Is Over)
If you’ve got an old soul, or if you simply got a taste that is as good as my parents’, this song will probably already be in every Christmas playlist you’ve ever heard in your life. When December comes, I don’t think there’s a day at home in which my mom doesn’t put this song on.
If you were a belieber in late 2011 or you’re just hiding your secret love for Justin Bieber, you can subtly add this song to the playlist of your dreams. Science has showed before that the moment Mistletoe comes on, no one can help but sing along to it.
All I Want for Christmas Is You
Do I really need to give a reason to explain why you should put this song in your Christmas playlist?
