Prince Harry & Meghan Markle in Africa Trip
Prince Harry organised a secret 36th party for girlfriend Meghan Markle with a jungle barbecue around an African campfire in Botswana.
The couple had been seen arriving in Africa for a romantic getaway, a year after they started their relationship.
Meghan had flown to London from Toronto, Canada, after filming the final episode of the latest Tv Series Suits.
She has reminded fans her life hasn’t always been a fairytale after opening up in a candid interview about race. The Suits actress spoke to Pride magazine about growing up ‘ethnically ambiguous’ with a black parent – and being at the receiving end of racist jokes.
The location is a safe place for the Prince Harry. “I have been fortunate sufficient to go to Botswana for greater than 20 years and am extremely lucky to have the ability to name it my second dwelling,” Prince Harry mentioned in January on a visit to tag rhinos for the charity Rhino Conservation Botswana. The Prince shared that Botswana will always have sentimental worth to him:
“I first came in 1997, straight after my mum died. My dad told my brother and me we were going to Africa to get away from it all.”
“This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world,” he mentioned. “I have this intense sense of complete relaxation and normality here.”
Harry, 32, then took the actress to a nearby friend’s house for a surprise gathering. Guests enjoyed beer and rosé wine round a barbecue under the stars.
A pal mentioned: “It was a very romantic way to celebrate her birthday and introduce her to some of Harry’s good friends.”
The couple are expected to go on safari, take a boat journey and camp out during their stay.
