Day 10: The Power of Words – Affirmations
“Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”
With the power of the spoken word, you can call into your existence that which you perceived to be good or bad.
The way that your life is currently going is a reflection upon the words that you have been consistently speaking.
Take the time out to think about the words that you have been using to describe yourself or your current situation. If you have the life that you desire right now; then you have been speaking and thinking positively and your way of life is reflecting it.
Your current body image also reflects the words and thoughts that you have been consistently thinking and speaking.
But, the great thing about the power of the spoken word is the fact that you have the power to change your words; and to create the life that you desire.
With affirmations the key is to find one that resonates with your mind, body and soul. It must feel good to you in order for it to work. You only need to say an affirmation once, if you feel complete after saying it.
But most people will probably need to repeat affirmations more than once, several times daily. This is necessary, in order for it sink deep into your subconscious mind so a way can be made for it to become true.
Another way to use the power of the spoken word is to use the words “I AM.” When you say “I AM” you are affirming that you believe that you ARE or already have what you desire in your life right NOW. If you say words like “I will be” you are affirming that you are not yet where or what you desire to be right now.
Make statements such as:
- I AM HEALTHY
- I AM HAPPY
- I AM LOVED
- I AM BEAUTIFUL
- I AM PROTECTED
- I AM SUCCESSFUL
- I AM DIVINELY GUIDED
- I AM A POWERFUL CREATOR
- I AM SPIRIT
- I AM FEARLESS
- I AM PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
- I AM THAT I AM
In order to change your life to one that you desire; you must claim to be or have whatever it is that you desire “NOW”, before you see the evidence of it!
Say these words over and over until you feel a sense of completion and a way will be made for your statement of “I AM” to become true.
Never make negative comments about yourself because your body will adapt to the words that you believe to be true. When you look in the mirror; tell yourself “I love you.” When you show appreciation for yourself, your body will reflect it. And others will notice and appreciate it as well.
Words create emotions and emotions create feelings and with feelings we create our desired outcome of our lives. That’s why it is very important to watch the words that you use on a daily basis because with them you are creating your reality.
So, choose the best words, smile more (500 times a day :), love and hug yourself, and feel it deeply in your heart.
